Wonderful yet HECTIC

Well just as I suspected it would be a while before I would post again. Since I wrote last there have been many things that have happened some great some very sad.

I will get the sad one out of the way. We lost Grandma McClain the first part of November and I have a lot of mixed feelings about this. I am not sure if it is because I have watched her slowly die from cancer the last five months or if it was because she was close to my grandmother's age and it scares me bad to think about loosing her. I tried to make an effort to help her and take care of her with Debbie as much as I could. I wanted my kids to be around her as often as possible for them and for her. We only got to see her a few times a year because she lived in Arkansas. So I felt like that was very important for us all and in doing this I became to know Grandma better which made loosing her harder at the same time. She was a smart Godly women that anyone who knew her would love to live by her example. She prayed for everyone and everything which helped all of us. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but am SO thankful I got to spend the time with her I did while she with with us here on Earth.

On to lighter things....We had Thanksgiving this year with my family at Aw's house. It was the first year I have had it with them since Bruce and I have been married. It was crazy of course but it was a lot of fun. Of course there were a bunch of dogs there too to mix it up a bit. All the grand kids are grown up so the only little ones are my kids and one other new one this year my cousin Marcus' girlfriends little boy. He and Roy played fairly well together while the girls were constantly picked on by my Uncle Pete, better them than me. We all ate too much then most of the men watch football while sleeping in the chairs in the living room. We spent two nights out there which was good since I had not been since summer. I want to take more time to go out there but it seems like things are so hectic and I have not a lot extra.

I am done for the most part with Christmas shopping. This is the earliest I have finished I think ever. I am excited for Santa to come and bring the kids there gifts and to also see how they react when they open the ones from us. Tomorrow is Bruce's birthday so I will be busy tonight making a cake and really busy tomorrow making dinner for many people. Our house will be packed once again but I am sure we will have memories that we will never forget.

Well....Bruce went on his first business trip and I was at home with the crew. It was a normal night basically until about bedtime when Gillian decides she must have cough drops or she won't make it any longer. Roy also decides that he doesn't want to sleep and wants to watch Cars for the third time...and I was ready to sleep way before the second showing was done when I realized how great it is when Bruce is at home. I normally go to bed and leave things for Bruce to take care of after 9 o'clock. So I realized more how much I appreciate him esp. when 10:30 rolled around and Roy is still talking to me in the dark....I was thinking Where's Daddy???? I will be glad when he comes back home <3

Halloween part 2

OK so I guess I suck at this already and the first post I did got cut off by half and I don't know why.

As I was saying so we dressed up as witch's and went with that. Our makeup was basically the same. We went over to Laura's house to see her and Ian. We didn't get to see India though :(
We stayed there for a little bit and then went on to Conroe over to Matt and Lindsey's for trick or treating and their party. Aunt Kristen and Nana went walking with us Gunner(Mario) got sick so Griffin(Luigi) had to T-Or-T with Roy(Spiderman). Gillian took lead with the two boys and tried to help them as we went along. This was Roy's first year to really get into it and he needed to defiantly learn manners with candy grabbing. They had fun getting candy and then giving it out back at Matt's. There were a lot of great costumes out for sure. I ate a lot of junk which was always good thanks to Lindsey and Karen. I would have eaten more if I had room to stuff it in! All in all another great year on the Halloween trail.....

Halloween!!!!

Well we have past another year of tricks and treats at our McClain, Ellis and Rich household. Lauren this year was not with us because she went to her dad's which was sad for me but....it was his year. :( All in all we had a great time. We started off the evening with Bailey and Alli getting ready with the kids and I. I actually dressd up this year with the convinceing of my daughter Gillian. She wanted us to dress the same but there were NO costumes that matched in our two different sizes...bummer.
